Students can cash personal checks up to $100 for cash at the Office of Student Account Services with their student ID, if their account is in good standing. Two-party checks are only accepted if from a parent or grandparent.
Most merchants will accept local checks as long as students have a government-issued identification. Your student may want to open an account at a local bank when they arrive in Maryville.
